Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a specialized, hands-on therapy designed to release tension and restrictions within the fascia. Fascia is the spider-webby connective tissue that surrounds and supports every muscle and muscle fiber, and all of the bones and organs in our bodies. There is not a part of our body that is not impacted by fascia. And, when fascia becomes tight or restricted due to injury, stress, or trauma, it can create chronic pain, limited mobility, and discomfort throughout the body.
I incorporate John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (JFB-MFR) techniques, a highly effective, whole-body approach to pain relief and healing. This method uses gentle, sustained pressure to soften and release fascial restrictions, allowing the body to unwind naturally and return to a state of ease and balance. Unlike traditional massage, MFR works without force, encouraging deep, lasting change by addressing the root cause of pain rather than just the symptoms. Rather than forcing change to take place in the body, we allow the change to happen.
I have studied with John F. Barnes alongside many other skilled therapists in Sedona, Arizona and Dover, Delaware.
